Itineraries
If your idea of a perfect island is one almost nobody else has heard of, Raivavae and Rimatara deliver.
Raivavae is often called the jewel of the Australs — a small high island wrapped in a brilliant lagoon, with white-sand motu and ancient stone tiki scattered across it. Weather permitting, excursions include the natural blue 'motu swimming pool' with a traditional picnic. It's small enough to explore slowly on foot or by bike.
Rimatara, the smallest of the inhabited Australs, is all quiet beaches, clear water and craft tradition. A typical visit takes in the village, local craftspeople, a pandanus field and braiding workshop, a beach lunch, and — weather permitting — a look at monoï oil production.
Neither island has resorts or crowds; that's the point. Both are included on every Classic Voyage — see the itinerary or ask us to plan your trip.
